Mark Levin wanted to set the record straight about all the terrible reporting that engulfed Devin Nunes when he released his recent memo.
So he invited Devon on his new Sunday show on Fox News to explain and Devin didn’t disappoint. The media roundly hammered Nunes for releasing the memo and the coverage had a very specific result.
Most Americans missed the significance of the memo and considered it less than earth-shattering news. But that was a classic media slanting the story.
Nunes went right to the heart of the matter saying,
“The media in this country is dead. It no longer exists and the American people need to understand this…I don’t know where it’s going to all end – if it’s dead forever – but 90 percent of the media is far left wing, and they are totally reliant on getting clicks and playing to their base and to their owners to support what their owners want.”
Boom. The coverage the media gave the bombshell memo was weak indeed.
But Nunes and Levin quickly turned to history to give the scandal the proper perspective.
From the Washington Examiner:
“We have what I call a Praetorian Guard media – they’re going to protect the Obama administration no matter what that administration did or does. If the shoe were on the other foot – if this were a Republican administration that did this to a Democratic candidate – it would be the greatest scandal in American history,” said Levin.
Nunes said, “Oh my god, can you imagine if it was George W. Bush and Karl Rove doing this to the incoming Obama administration?”
Can YOU imagine if the GOP did this to Obama or Kerry or Clinton? What do you think the media coverage would have been in that event?
