The media has been busy sniping at the character of Gina Haspel, Acting and Deputy Director of the CIA. And why are they trying to malign her?
Because she has been nominated for the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency under President Donald J. Trump. And today, during the confirmation hearing she shows exactly WHY she should be the Director! (VIDEO BELOW.)
The controversy is over Gina having approved waterboarding terrorists in the past. The approval came directly from President Bush. The media erroneously characterized her as a torturer. Although there are many retractions from varying media outlets, the damaging and untrue image has already been painted.
Today, Haspel endures a Senate confirmation hearing on Capitol Hill and Pres Trump tweets his support! (TWEET BELOW.)
POTUS tweets early this morning, “Gina Haspel, my highly respected nominee to lead the CIA, is being praised for the fact that she has been, and always will be, TOUGH ON TERROR! This is a woman who has been a leader wherever she has gone. The CIA wants her to lead them into America’s bright and glorious future!”

During the confirmation hearing, Gina Haspel, CIA Director nominee slams Senator Jack Reed (RI-D) as he tries to box her into a corner. Instead, she sent him to the corner, hanging is head down, speechless.
Reed asks her, if she would consider it to be immoral to waterboard a CIA operative. Her response is brilliant. Because it is obvious that CIA operatives are NOT equal to a terrorist.
This is Gina’s response:
“Senator I would never obviously support inhumane treatment of any CIA officers. We’ve lost CIA officers, over the years to terrorists. I just gave an example. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed personally killed a Wall Street Journal correspondent and filmed that. I don’t think there’s any comparison between CIA officers serving their Country, adhering to U.S. law and terrorists, who by their very definition are not following anybody’s law.”
