New York Mayor Bill De Blasio’s “Promises Made, Promises Kept” sign at a school groundbreaking ceremony Monday was straight out of President Trump’s playbook.
A big blue sign read “Promises Made, Promises Kept” that stood behind De Blasio as he addressed the crowd.
The New York Daily News posted a photo of De Blasio speaking in front of the sign.
Oddly enough, De Blasio is know to be an anti-Trumper. He previously skipped a NYPD swearing-in ceremony, and a day after an officer was killed in the Bronx, flew to Germany to protest President Trump at the G20 summit, where protests turned violent.
If the logo sounds familiar, it’s because President Trump posted a “Promises Made, Promises Kept” video in September 2017, where he highlighted his executive order expanding vocational training.
Another time, President Trump posted the same logo on his Facebook account. The Trump campaign has also established promiseskept.com, that promotes the President’s many accomplishments. (Continued Below)
During a rally in Indiana in May, President Trump was standing between two blue signs that read, “Promises Made” and “Promises Kept.” Signs with the same message appeared in March at a rally in Pennsylvania. Trump displayed the signs again at a Montana rally in July.
De Blasio’s spokesman Eric Phillips told the Daily News, “This is stupid. This is not novel rhetoric.” Phillips claimed to the Post that he was not familiar with the heavily used Trump slogan. He added, “It’s not the most novel turn of phrase.”
President Trump caught wind of De Blasio’s slogan and responded along with coining him a nickname. (Continued Below)
Trump Fires A Shot, Destroys What’s Left Of De Blasio’s Reputation With New Yorkers
President Trump laughed at Deblasio and tweeted, “Bill DeBlasio, the high taxing Mayor of NYC, just stole my campaign slogan: PROMISES MADE PROMISES KEPT! That’s not at all nice. No imagination!

No imagination at all. For someone is who anti-Trump and went as far to protest him all the way of overseas, it sure is funny to see DeBlasio copying President Trump. Let’s face it. Democrats are out of ideas and secretly love the President.
