Thursday morning, award winning investigative reporter, Sara A. Carter joined Fox and Friends amid the latest revelations of text messages between former FBI agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.
The texts refer to government employees “leaking like mad” in the run-up to the Russia collusion probe and are a “disaster and embarrassment” to the Department of Justice according to President Trump. (Video Below)
During her interview on Thursday morning, Sara Carter discussed the text messages that have surfaced from Inspector General Michael Horowitz who is focusing on the alleged surveillance abuses with the national security court and leaks by senior FBI officials.
The text messages were provided to Congress from Inspector General Michael Horowitz. There was a 6 month gap from December 2016 until May 2017. It was blamed on software problems and FBI issued Samsung phones.

As previously reported, the obtained new text messages between Strzok and Page are dated from Dec. 15, 2016. The texts were part of a lengthy exchange, and appeared to reveal a potential operation to leak for “political purposes.”
Strzok said in one of the texts, “Think our sisters have begun leaking like mad. Scorned and worried, and political, they’re kicking into overdrive.” Sisters is believed to be slang for “CIA.” (Video Below)
Sara Carter explained that Peter Strozk was having conversations with The New York Times and The Washington Post where they were opening talking about how The New York times was upset because The Washington Post got “the scoop.”
“The scoop” at that time was the FISA warrant on Carter Page that was supposed to be a classified investigation but instead pushed that narrative against President Trump.
Sara announced,”They cannot justify it. With all of the new text messages that have come out… particularly with the ones where Strzok is talking about his conversations with The New York Times and The Washington Post, he clearly cannot justify this anymore.”

Carter declared, “Congress is going to have to call them back, bring them in for questioning, and the DOJ is going to have to do its job and investigate this!”
She added, “If somebody at the DOJ does not do it’s job, then according to a lot of the Senators and Congressional lawmakers who have been a part of this investigation, are going to have to call for a second special counsel that can investigate this, or find someone at the DOJ that can.”
Lastly when asked if there are more Strozk and Page texts to come, Sara smiled and confirmed. “Yes.”
