Roger Stone, former Trump adviser, was arrested in Fort Lauderdale on Friday morning after being indicted by a federal grand jury a day earlier.

Video aired by CNN shows numerous FBI agents raiding his house with guns, banging on Stone’s door at 6AM, and demanding that he come outside. Ironically, CNN was the only one tipped off, and they got the video footage of the FBI agents. (Video Below)

Roger Stone was released Friday afternoon on a 250k bond, and spoke to the press outside of a federal courthouse in Florida.

He vowed to fight the charges of witness tampering, obstruction and false statements brought by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, calling the charges “politically motivated” while insisting he would not turn against President Trump. “I will plead not guilty to these charges. I will defeat them in court. This is a politically-motivated investigation.” Stone said.

President Trump took note of Stones arrest before he was released from jail and questioned why CNN was tipped off capturing the video footage of the FBI agents storming Stones house.

He wrote, “President Trump wrote, “Greatest Witch Hunt in the History of our Country! NO COLLUSION! Border Coyotes, Drug Dealers and Human Traffickers are treated better. Who alerted CNN to be there?” (Video Below)

The indictment unsealed Friday does not charge Stone with conspiring with WikiLeaks, the anti-secrecy website that published emails of Democrats during the 2016 campaign, or with the Russian officers Mueller says hacked them. Instead, it accuses him of lying about his interactions related to WikiLeaks’ release during probes by Congress and Mueller’s team, per Fox News.

Stone served as an adviser to Trump for years before he ran for president. He left Trump’s campaign in August 2015, but maintained regular contact with and publicly supported the Trump campaign through the 2016 election. (Video Below)

While speaking to the press outside of the courthouse, Stone said, “There is no circumstance whatsoever under which I will bear false witness against the president, nor will I make up lies to ease the pressure on myself.”

Stone also stated that the charges in no way relate to Russian collusion, Wikileaks collaboration, or any other connection in the 2016 campaign.

“I have falsely accused of making false statements during my testimony during the House Intelligence Committee. That is incorrect. Any error I made in my testimony would be immaterial and without intent.” Stone announced.

A statement from Julian Assange’s US lawyer Barry Pollack on Roger J. Stone was released on Wikileaks Twitter:

“The dawn military-style arrest of Mr. Stone, a 66 year old political consultant, was wholly unnecessary and served no purpose other than intimidation. “The charges against Mr. Stone do not allege that Mr. Stone lied about his [lack of] contacts with Julian Assange, but rather about his contacts with others and about documents reflecting those communications. The Office of Special Counsel has never spoken with Mr. Assange.”
