Vice President Mike Pence weighed in on the Democratic political fallout from the Special Counsel’s report and the rare public press conference Robert Mueller held Wednesday.

Pence sat down for an exclusive interview with anchor Maria Bartiromo on Fox Business Friday where he pushed back at the idea of impeachment and Mueller’s farewell contradicting statements.

The Vice President responded to Mueller’s press conference and expressed that “he was pleased to see that the Special Counsel announced the investigation is over” adding that it’s “case closed.”

“The Special Counsel sent his report and he concluded that there was no collusion. And after the review of the facts, the Department of Justice confirmed there was no collusion, no obstruction,” Pence said.

He added of Democrats and the Mueller report, “I think the American people want to see this Congress move on– move on to the things that are making a difference in their lives.”

Robert Mueller said during his press briefing stoking more fuel for Democrats’ “impeachment path”, “If we knew that the President did not commit a crime, we would have said so.” (Continued Below)

Asked if he is expecting impeachment proceedings, Pence responded, “I wouldn’t know why there would be. I really wouldn’t.”

“This President has been delivering for the American people. These questions were raised about election interference and we know that Russia interfered in the 2016 elections, but we don’t believe it affected the outcome in any way. We’ve held them accountable for that. We’ve taken steps to ensure that doesn’t happen again,” Pence said.

“But there were other questions raised about collusion. Even the Special Counsel confirmed that there was no collusion between our campaign and the Russians. And, the Department of Justice confirmed there was no collusion, no obstruction. The matter is entirely over, it’s entirely closed. The American people got the answers,” he added. (Video Below)

The Vice President said that he was proud of how transparent and fully cooperative the Trump administration was for 2 years during the investigation by providing millions of pages of documents to the Special Counsel, along with hundreds of witnesses.

“This President and our office and our entire administration fully cooperated and the American people now know that the investigation is at an end. They have their answers. But what I think the country wants to see us do is focus on the things that are now most important to them and that is jobs, security,” Pence concluded.
