House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R- CA) spoke with host Judge Jeanie Pirro Saturday evening, insisting that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) owes America an apology for delaying stimulus bills in Congress and politicizing the coronavirus crisis.
“While small businesses shut down and made the sacrifice to keep America healthy, Nancy Pelosi sacrificed the small businesses. She held it open when there [were] 700,000 small businesses with applications that couldn’t have any money,” McCarthy said during an appearance on Fox News’ “Justice with Judge Jeanine.”
“Nancy Pelosi owes America an apology,” Kevin McCarthy insisted. “She has held up every single bill, when it came to coronavirus, that we put forth.”
“The first time she held it up so the D-triple-C, the Democratic arm, could attack Republicans,” McCarthy said, referring to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, which recruits candidates, raises funds and helps run election campaigns for the party.
“The second time she held it up for the entire week to get more funding for the [National] Endowment [for] the Arts and the Kennedy Center and try to put the Green New Deal in. Then, she came back this time– we asked two weeks in advance. We saved 30 million jobs, but 4.4 million last week– that was Nancy Pelosi’s unemployment that she added to America.”
The House Minority Leader also said that while President Trump has been trying to combat the coronavirus crisis, Pelosi has been trying to “politicize” it. Continued Below
“She was more interested in investigations, impeachment, and ice cream,” McCarthy added. “Instead of focusing on what we really need to accomplish here.”
McCarthy was referring to when Pelosi had shown off her freezer full of Jeni’s ice cream, a brand that advertises pints-by-mail for $12 apiece, during an appearance on “The Late, Late Show With James Corden” a couple of weeks ago. Video Below
